        <description>Jim, you are going to have to flash the bios from the floppy disk, unless you can get a small FAT partition on to your hard drive.</description>

        <description>have the aminf332 flasher and the 020206l.rom bios. tried to flash using aminf332 020206l.rom got a error 35 general protection fault, also tried to boot from floppy and flash from hard drive and cannot see hard drive cause im runnin NTFS. help!</description>

        <description>Ya goto say i did copy to HD. and just booted from floppy.. to make sure there was no background dos based appz running..&lt;br /&gt;

        <description>One thing that you guys should all be aware of is that flashing the bios from a floppy disk can be dangerous as this does not always work. Floppy disks are generally less fault tolerant and slower than the hard disk, increasing the likelihood of a failed flash.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I would recommend having the AMI Flash program, and the bios ROM file in a folder on your hard drive. You can then boot using a floppy disk, but run the flash from the hard drive.</description>

Knowning how good sales people are at seeling, but not at expert help.. i turns to the webbiness and searhed fo k7s5a bios update.... and find you guys &amp;amp; girls here and your wealth of knowledge on such things.... Trys the instruction Ami(please work first time).101010.rom , and swing its working reboots.. goes to the timing settings, and selects a 133 pennies thingy saves and exits. reboots. and swing again. 1600 xp+ all working fine... there must be thousands of people like me all working cos of you.....So thanks... if you ever have a music / appz related problem pm &lt;br /&gt;

The problem with your CPU most likely isn't with the BIOS revision, but with the fact that you have to go into the BIOS setup, select the CPU PnP section and there set your SDRAM/CPU speed to 133/133 instead of 100/100. Try that BEFORE you upgrade BIOS.</description>

        <description>dave im having the same problem... i bought an amd athlon xp +1800 and this mobo combo but it only reads the processor at 1150 mhz... gonna try to upgrade the bios and see if that helps but if anyone else knows a fix please let me know... thanks</description>

        <description>You need to check your FSB settings in the CPU PnP section. When I upgraded my BIOS, I had to go back in and set it up as 133/133 again, since the new BIOS had set it back to 100/100.</description>

        <description>ok i finally got it to work...now i have another problem. i have a amd 18000 xp chip, the board only detects it at 1150 mhz. whats up with that? also i have a dragon orb 3. a 7000 rpm cooling fan for my cpu, it only really runs at 2000, would that be becuase i have to muc hstuff hooked up to the power suooly, i have like every connectoin with one spliiter each and other stuff on the power supply, maybe not enough power?&amp;gt;</description>
