This is the thing: I have this 120GB Western Digital passport HDD, seems like it causes all of this. I have it plugged in via USB stick when PC is off and with this passport in, during start up system simply cannot make his way (windows starts, but desktop is interrupted by blue screen of death (as it is called). Obviously, passport is using this and I don't understand why (maybe because of some files that are inside). When i do the check, it is all right.

What should I do?

I have had this problem a few times. i submited a reply once before stating it was the memory, for that problem it was. i have recently had the same problem again. i ran the memtest program and also tried different sticks with no joy, i ran hard drive tests, mb tests, grfx card tests, registry fixes, the lot and everything was reported as ok but still my pc was crashing. the only thing left for me to do was a format, and since i have done that it works fine. as i said i have now experienced this on several occasions, the first few was the memory the other must have been missing or damaged windows files. hope this helps.i would recommend hirens bootcd to run all your tests, its free and a great tool for testing.

Hello everyone, I've got similar problem for a while now, cannot handle it.
When PC starting, the system comes to my windows mode, and then error occurs. After few reboots (maybe 2-3, or shuting down and starting it all over again, finally I come to my windows desktop and message that say something like : "A system has recovered from a serious error..." Mini010807-03.dmp seems to be the problem, and it happens all over again.
Now, can't say overheeting is a problem. Cooler is maybe old, but still... I don't play games, so I don't need PC for that.
System simply makes a failure when starting. I know this pentium 3 is a few years now, but several things have been added, I don't make pressure when working.
I understand I have that blue screen of death that happens during start up and Mini010807-03.dmp according to PC information is causing this, but I don't believe RAM is a negative sequence here also, it is tightly placed into memory stick.

MB QDI Advance 10B/T VIA 694+686B AC97 5PCI AGP
CPU Celeron 850Mhz FC-PGA
CPU Cooler Titan D2TB/D3TB
DIMM 256MB SD RAM 133MHz + additional 256
I have Seagate HDD 40GB (new for a while now) and it's good.

Any suggestions to make this errors a history, please do advise.
Thank you in advance.
Hi, I've only read 2 of 16+ pages but I have the same problem.

I have:
Shuttle SN25P
Athlon XP 64bit 3200+
Radeon x700 / x800 PRO ( When I brought it I was told I was getting an x800 but windows calls it an x700... )
1GB of RAM

I get the exact same error with the minidump and the sysdata.xml
I certainly dont have CPU overheating issues its usually about 35-40 degrees C but as for GFX card I am not so sure, my PC is certainly quite dusty.

blah blah blah blah........

300-350 W PS is WAY to small.

guys/gals if it was memory, he would get errors all the time in every application including winderz...
since its game specific, 2 things are beeing taxxed. Vid card, and PSU.

I doubt the memory is the culprit. A simple/free way (fast, not 10 hours long) is to do what is suggested about yanking a stick and trying it. but I doubt this is it. its simple to do and check so please do it. Temperatures are free to check as well!

after that, I would venture into the PSU.

Always trouble shoot from free to most $$$.
is the PC new, or been around for a while?
also, any recent hardware/software upgrades/installs around the time of issues arriving?

If the PC has been around for a bit under that load, I would say the PS is falling out of spec and conditions will worsen. including issues while in winderz and such.
for that PC, I would want AT LEAST 450W and no less.

could be a few things, but as you can see, im bent on the PSU at the moment with the given information.
Allen,

I would search Google for Memtest86 and download it. Run the program with one stick of RAM for about 8-10 hours. If you get no errors, then try the other stick for the same amount of time. If you do not get any errors with either stick, then its possible the RAM is fine. If you get an error with one stick or both, then if its still under warranty, then I would RMA it. If not, then you may have to fork over some money to Newegg or something for some new RAM.

I hvae always found it easier to just test both sticks of RAM just because of the fact that if the RAM is under warranty, you will have to send both (or how ever many) sticks back to the manufacturer regardless. Even if it isn't under warranty, it still grounds for new RAM nonetheless.

Allen, try swapping out your memory modules, just have one of the 512s in, and see if it reboots. If it does, try just the other. If it still does, hang tight, and some people who know more about what they're talking about will help you out. If with just one of the memory modules in, it doesn't reboot, you've got a bad stick of memory (the one not in the system)

well.. my pc ran fine for about 2-3 months now...
thx all for the help..

the problem was the psu imo..
a friend of mine came to put in a 400w psu and now everything seems to work fine
exept!!! => my pc freezes from time to time leaving me with no other solution then reseting him..
but that only happens once in a while (every week) or something.. so i dont really care

thx all for the help!
