(The 9800 non-pro was orginally going to be named the Pro, but the launch of the Geforce FX series made ATi increase the speeds and make a faster Pro model). The 9700 Pro does have full support for DX9 with PS 2.0 and VS 2.0, however the 9800 non-Pro has 2.1 of those, that is what makes it better. The Radeon 9800 and Radeon 9700 Pro have the exact same speeds. The 9700 pro rocks. It has full dx9 support and all the features you need for half-life2 etc. They cost £200+ new. I know it works, because he was using it before buying his new card, a 9800 XT. However, I know this card is quite old now, so I want to know how it shapes up to the newer Radeon cards.<br /> <br /> Is it capable of supporting DX9? What would it cost normally? Most of all, is it worth buying it or a newer 9600 XT?<br /> <br /> Any advice much appreciated.
