Not only does NORAD track Santa, but they used to (I don't know about now) send out FLASH alerts to all Strategic Air Command Command Post via SACCS and SACDIN indicating an airspace intrusion over the North Pole (the path for USSR ICBMs) Every Christmas Morning. This was recognized as a joke in that the message was not "authenticatable" and contained a multi-page ASCII character rendition of the sleigh and the reindeer as a "radar signature".

Peaceful,
His thinness was taken into concideration in that I stated that ".... or just enable him (Santa) to accomplish his task." Though I do have to admit I had forgotten about his aversion to obese people.
Insofar as his "never" being a sociable or giving person, I believe you are confusing the final years of his life with most of his life. Also I believe he was only in the Wardorf for 3 years, but I could be wrong about that, though he did prefer hotels to homes. Insofar as being sociable, he was very active in social and scientific circles for most of his life, and has been written about, by several very prominent socialites, scholars, and literary persons as being very sociable and enjoyable company. As a giving person, I can think of NO ONE in this day and age that is as giving as he was. He tore up his contract with John Westinghouse, the contract that would have made him a BILLIONARE just so Westinghouse would not have to give up his company to his creditors. He spent a HUGE portion of his career, and PERSONAL money in an effort to bring FREE electricity to EVERYONE in the WORLD, something no one has attempted since. He also was working on a weapon system that had to be static/immobile that would totally destroy any INVASIVE force, thus making wars of agression simply impossible.

About Nikola Tesla, I AM A HUGE FANBOY, and for that I will not appologize.
If someone as remarkable as he existed, then Santa sure could.

P.S. Though the US version of Santa is fat, most renditions of Father Christmas or St. Nicholas are not.

P.P.S. Santa lives at the North bloody Pole!!!! He is rarely seen (just his proxies)!!! How much more reclusive can you get than that?!?!

Merry Christmas!

Gerritt said:
In reference to those that postulated that Santa is actually Albert Einstein, that's absolutely bogus. Though Einstein may have provided some of the underpinnings of the technology or science necessary in order for him to attempt his task, and that quantum mechanics makes him improbable, but not absolutely impossible, I'd like to put forth a different selection of a scientist that may be or may just enable him to accomplish his task.

Nikola Tesla.
Not only was most of his research seized by governments and locked away after his death, but he worked extensively in high energy physics in a manner just now being replicated. Also his name Nikola. This is very close to San Nicola, which is what the Italians call St. Nicholas.

Food for thought.....

Merry Christmas

LOL, I almost forgot I posted the Santa Claus = Einstein theory 2 years ago in this thread!!
http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/17881/?o=40#464994
And then defunct another poster's mathematical proof of Santa's inexistence.
http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/17881/?o=40#465020

Your hypothesis of Nikola Tesla = Santa, is quite plausible, in consideration of his remarkable creativity. However, you missed two key factors. First Nikola is quite... Thin, he was absolutely disgusted by fat people as documented in his biography. So no way he can be the chubby Santa Claus we all adored. Secondly, he may be a genius, but he was never a very sociable and giving person. He lived 10 years in a hotel room. He was never married. He's OCD. Judging by his personality, he can't be the Santa who we all know is a very generous and lovable person.

Let's just say that Santa exists in segments of our imagination. However, as said by our beloved physicist, Dr. Einstein, "Reality is merely an illusion..." Hence we can't be sure if we, ourselves, are indeed exist. May be we are, in the "reality" we defined, but what is the real reality? So, relatively speaking our existence is just as ambiguous as Santa's existence. Biologically, our imagination are stored chemically inside our neurons. How real do we believe in our imagination, depended on how strongly we can be stimulated by the chemicals released from the neurons. For some people it can be as real as reality. Therefore, this proved that Santa does exist, biochemically.

Brilliant Gerrit! I forgot how extensive his research was on energy.

And also that thing-a-majig he invented that "didn't work" which was used to make exact replicas of mass and matter! And ended up in the hands of an illusionist, WTF!?

sure he exists. i think therefore i am descarte said. his rational of good reality and subjectivity which proves gods existence can be applied very closely to mr cringle himself. well sort of. depending on how the idea of santa clause originated in your mind nevermind the how just the why also in reference to the math paradox im afraid the gent is right in that at least one should exist seeing that any event or existance that can happen will happen at least once provided you are willing to wait the entire span of the universes life that is
