press F8 before windows loads.
disable pc from rebooting after failure... this will help you understand which file is corrupt so you can repair it.

use a bootdisc like hirens and run NTF4DOS PRO

go to x:\<windows folder>\system32\
ren gdi32.dll gdi32.dll.bkp
go to x:\<windows folder>\servicepackfiles\i386\
copy gdi32.dll x:\<windows folder>\system32
and now reboot your PC and it should be fine.

where x is the drive where your windows is
and the .dll file could be different, depends on the BSOD

I'm having the same problem as the one listed above, but am not able to get into the Recovery Console either. All F8 options have been unsucessful as well, and rebooting from the CD/DVD drive has not worked either. Is there anything else you can suggest I do???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If your data is the problem then recover it!You should try to recover with getdata back from runtime.
It's the best. However if this option failes ,too, you should try
Flobo HDDDOC Recovery if you have documents(source code, your site soutce,
.doc MSWord files)from http://www.floborecovery.dsoftscape.com.
It's the best abd unique application in the field.

i've had that problem with at least 6 of my computers, the only solution i knew of was to run a clean install

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the Windows XP Recovery Console to replace the RPCRT4.dll file with the original version. To do this, follow these steps:
Insert your Windows XP CD-ROM into the computer's CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer from the CD-ROM.

NOTE: Some computers may require that you modify the basic input/output system (BIOS) settings before you can start the computer from a CD-ROM. For information about how to modify BIOS, see your computer documentation.
At the Welcome to Setup screen, press R to start the Recovery Console.
Press the number key that corresponds to the installation that you want to repair, and then press ENTER.
Type the Administrator password, and then press ENTER.
With the Windows XP CD-ROM still in the CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command:
cd system32
ren RPCRT4.dll RPCRT4.old
CD-ROM_or_DVD-ROM_Drive_Letter:
cd \i386
expand RPCRT4.dl_ BootDriveLetter:\windows\system32
exit

I'm having the exact same problem - was able to get into the recovery console thru the XP cd, but don't know what do do from there... : s
Were you able to resolve this problem without reimaging??

Recently I uninstalled xp hot fixes / patches in my computer and when i rebooted my computer i could not login to windows.............. instead i am getting the following error message in blue screen...
Stop:C0000139 {Entry point not found}
This procedure entrypoint uuidtostringw could not be located in the dynamic link library RPCRT4.dll

tried to press f8 and options safe mode, enable boot logging, last known good configuration, debugging mode, and reboot mode (even with XP CD disc ) ... no use... getting the same error message... may be i could have deleted service pack by mistake..?
