You should never touch the lens with any materials. Especially such a powerful cleaner. It could permanetly damage it. Have you had this work for you before? I used to have a drive in my OEM system that was so bad nothing could be found about it on the Internet. It's like the company made one model and discontinued it! I would recommend you check for device conflicts. I would also try to repair or reinstall the drivers. If all else fails I would remove the device from my system in the device manager and reboot the system, letting the OS redetect and install it.
