Thanks Rory, I did install seperately for XP. I overwrote the old 98SE partition and reformatted to NTFS when I installed XP. I checked the config files for both Norton and Zone and set them up the same as for 2000. (I assumed this would work.) I have spent quite some time trying various configs with both progs including enabling and disabling the XP Pro Internet Connection Security, but to no avail. I am quite happy to only access Internet through 2000, but it's easier to setup Internet Connection Sharing through XP for my other PCs on home network. (I connect through BT and they try to disable this.)

the cause is most lightly to be the norton, (the firewall stuff)<br />
if its installed it starts at boot, so this will cause conflicts as its will be partly booting and will stop it all. it would seam as if its being attacked to it. i dont know if you would need to install it twice, once for each OS. but you do need to turn off the XP firewall.

I have now converted my PC to dual-boot 2000 Pro and XP Pro. (I have deleted 98SE.) I use Zone Alarm and Norton AntiVirus 2001(Updated today) on 2000 Pro but when I try to use either on XP Pro they block out Internet access. (Is there a conflict with XP Pros inbuilt security?). I am hoping that someone can recommend progs which work with XP Pro. Thanx.
