Everybody was losing synch, so they cut speeds down to keep people from calling in with synch problems. Call SBC and tell them to 'uncap' your DSL line. This happened to me, I'm going to call them today and tell them to uncap my line. I used to use regular phone cables in some places. Upgrading to the CAT5 cables almost doubled my speed.<br /> <br /> My setup on SBC Yahoo! DSL from the wall to my enthernet jack, all on CAT5 phone cables. It's your cable. The wires don't go straight through like in a 10 Mbps connection. Your probably have a 100 Mbps NIC, and the wires need to be crossed.
