One thing they have in common is the quality. They are one of the most durable units I have ever used. Check out reviews for asus laptops. They are a good notebook. The other via based ones you spoke about from tiny are not a bad notebook. Just a difference of features and proformance. The name brand notebooks I would stay away from. I bought one with and AMD XP(m) 2600 512Mb Ram, 40Gb Hdd, CD-rw, Wifi card, 64Mb Ati onboard graphic card.<br /> <br /> all for about £699inc VAT. All i would say is give their extended warranty a miss. Just go for the minimum 1yr whic costs about £50. I was talked into purchasing the 3yr warranty and it pushed the price to just ove £1K!!! Not much fun when u see that on the invoice i can tell u.<br /> <br /> If you want really high spec for an ok price try mesh computers.
