Who honestly gives a s**t if the pins wont last more than apx. 20 insertions? Are you going to go though 20 processors within the time that you would need to upgrade your mobo anyway, dude? And aside from that, why the hell would you want to take your processor out for any other reason than upgrading or MAYBE cleaning your system? Its just a cost reduction move on intels part, a pretty smart one at that, and not only that but theyre forcing upgraders to buy both a new mobo and processor. And as far as a gamers system goes, the only major benefit would be to upgrade to the pci express port. however, the agp 8x port still hasnt fully been taken advantage of by many games out there, so pci express is pretty much a waste untill at least a few months from now, especially after half life 2 releases which ive heard will now no longer be released untill 2005 *shakes fist*

actually i know that Mobos that come from intel directly cost more than boards made by Abit, MSI, and Gigabyte.

having pins on the mobo is pretty smart, since intel processors cost alot. but then again intel mobos are not as cheap as amd mobos...<br />
