So I unintalled my display driver (mobility radeon 9200 and ati mobility radion 9700), and re-intalled driver from SONY VIAO website (i have VGN S260P). That didn't fix the problem, but i can still operate the computer from safe mode. <br /> Today, I use the recovery CD and re-installed everything. well, the process is completed, but when the computer reboot, it said &quot;system not completed installed, try set up again...&quot;, so i did it again... but same message came up over and over again. the trouble is that the screen is completely black, I can't operate on safe mode anymore. It was a hardware problem. The My video card was intermittent. I finally noticed I could temporarily cure the problem by hitting the computer with my fist. <a target="_blank" href="/action/r/http://www.dell.com/">Dell</a> finally relented to my constant requests and sent me a refurbished video card. After I installed the card my system has worked fine for two weeks. I had to uninstall SP2. After that i used dna-drivers. Search on google. Dna drivers were made by a website to help out with all this trouble ati catalyst gives. About every 15 mins i would get the blue screen of death. After investigating this problem i followed dna-drivers instructions and pow my computer runs better then ever. I think the actual driver site is down. So i would suggest looking for other download locations for them.
