Ok so i have just installed mandrake linux 10 I586 and above The instal went fine no errors ect.
When i boot the meter comes up goes up about 1/4 of the way and just stops.... I have let my computer sit for a while and its not frozen (i can type stuff in verbose mode) It just stops loading at finding new hardware. Did i do something wrong or do i need to wait way longer? any help is appreciated. Does the i586 not work with the amd 64? Its supost to have backwords compatablity with the x86 instruction set....
Thanks,
