Does the GeForce2 MX/MX 400 support Microsoft DirectX?

I think either last year or so I installed the GeForce2 MX/MX 400 on my AM Computech Athlon 1.3 Ghz that has the video card description 64MB Sis Display Adapter, Embeded Sis VGA, 128-bit 3D AGP graphics Accelerator, 64MB farme buffer in North bride, upto 1920 x1440 resolution, a complete AGP Rev. 2.0 Spec. Compliant, specification notation. I bought a Studio AV/DV analog converter to enable me connect my VCR to the computer. The AV/DV is self checking and can run a series of compatibility test.

I have been unable to use the device because, the Microsoft DirectX compatibility test failed. The test diagnostic said that, "either the graphics card or graphics card driver in use does not support MS DirectX".

I am not knowledgeable in this area and need help in understanding the issue. The test found that the Directdraw was not possible.

Could you help in this case? Can upgrading to Nvidia 6200 resolve this problem, you think?
