My cousin is buying a AGP Card, but he's also stuck in between 6600gt or 6800LE AGP. The thing is both of them are available at same price. So looking at situation it would be easy to decide 6800LE, but if you look at specs, both of them has same pipelines, the 6600gt has gddr3 ram while 6800le has slower ddr ram but then 6800le has a 256bit core while 6600's is 128bit.So can anyone give an idea which would better performance wise ?
BTW are the stability issues due to pipeline bug, still there in 6800LE or it has been fixed especially the Albatron 6800LE 128MB one

Well XP series from AMD is old now and also the 2500+, & 2600+ bartons are quite slow until and unless u overclock it to 3200+ speeds.

I would get atleast A 64 3200+ for 6800 to make overall balanced sexy rig.

No Curtis, you will run into a bottleneck. It won't be big enough to matter, though.

By running a 3.2e (Prescott) processor, overclocked, or an Athlon64 chip you will gain, maybe, and I this is a big maybe, 500-600 points in 3dMark '05. And that is a HUGE maybe.

With your processor, at the speed it's at, and a 6800GT, you'll be able to run Doom3 @ 1280x1024 like there's no tomorrow. And there will be a tomorrow. A tomorrow of gaming bliss.

Get the 6800GT, if you can, and be happy: You just got a 6800Ultra for $100 less... lol
