It'll sure as hell last longer than the currently-evenly-price 9800 Pro and the more expensive 9800 variant, the 9800XT. The 6600GT is a truly amazing card, as you can see from the benchmarks, and will definitely hold up for a very, very long time. Almost as long as the 6800nu, until manufacturers start saturating our pixel-pipelines. I don't think that will happen for another 2 years. I'm talking to the point of where something will barely run on a 6800GT. Then, and pretty much ONLY then, will the highly advanced, yet budget priced, 6600GT begin to show it's age. Yes, the 6800GT, not the non-ultra. And they won't release a 6600GT w/ 256mb, because that would be too much of a competitor for the 6800nu. I might have to look into settling for a 6600 at 1/2 the price.... decisions decisions.<br /> <br /> <br /> Though, I do imagine I would be better off getting the 6800GT if I do not plan on Building a new PC that supports PCI-E anytime soon. Concidering I just built my last one. Oh well, Im happy with the performance of my PC.
