There was an article/review/test done by ExtremeTech back in October of 2003, that went about testing the graphics cards (at that time) that had DVI ports for compliance with the DVI Standard. The link to that article is here [http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1367918,00.asp].

Hope this helps!
Jason,

You're right, ATI has had similar, or better, features for quite some time now. To be honest I just received a fairly large email from them with some feedback about what the 'competition' does in comparison to ATI's solution. Rest assured I'll take their feedback into consideration when we get around to looking at video and image quality in a home theater setup.
Maybe the answer can be found in barebones based on the Intel Pentium-M chip. It isnt as hot as the prescott CPU and performs certainly good enough to play videos. Aopen for instance has a model: AOpen XC Cube EY855.

Sander,

I agree with your observations completely, if Microsoft can't offer CE quality video then why bother spending $1000 on a MCE '05 PC. And honestly I have yet to see the 1st small form factor PC with an Intel processor that is whisperquiet, even the Shuttle SFFs have trouble with keeping things cool and quiet. As for PureVideo, didn't ATI offer similar features already, for a long time?
