The case is ugly, but if you could sand it down a lot, cut out the nose hole areas in the back, smooth it out with some spare metal and plastic (or Bondo!), it might start looking pretty nice. Of course, paint it all when you're finished. Outside is going to be 'base&quot; white, and &quot;secondary&quot; light blue<br /> ***Side note*** the reason I chose white and blue over red and black is simple... BLACK IS ABOUT THE HARDEST FRICKIN COLOR TO MAKE LOOK NICE!!! If you don't put down at least 3 coats, and you don't sand it properly each time, you get what many know as, the &quot;orange peel&quot; effect... which looks really s**tty... excuse my english. Not nearly as noticeable on basically ANY other color lol... and much easier to do in general.<br /> <br /> -There will be an &quot;out&quot; vent at the top, with several small strategically placed slits and holes at the top of the steel chassis, which are led to a fan thru ducts, and exited out, to ensure NO heat pools at the top of the case. The vent will blow air towards the back of the case.<br /> <br /> -There will be an &quot;in&quot; vent pulling air from the front of the case in the middle, right below the CD-roms, thru a duct targeted directly at the hardrives. I know, I know... &quot;WHAT???&quot;... I will have pics and what not as the project progresses... which will help show what I am talking about, so please just have patience, and trust me... lol <img src="http://media.hardwareanalysis.com/smilies/smile1.gif" width="14" height="14" border="0" alt=":-)" title=":-)"> Which also means that I will have to add several cool looking air intakes on the CD-rom case door, to allow air inside that area... hehe<br /> <br /> -I already have a fan whole that will blow cool air directly on the graphics card, in an attempt to help keep temperatures down.<br /> <br /> -I will still keep the 120mm fan on the back to force air out the back of the case.<br /> <br /> -BOTH front air intakes will be made fully functional... meaning, I will have a fan on both sides, and add ducts targeting air towards the back of the case in a small offset (one aimed high, and one aimed low), to help air flow.<br /> <br /> -The outside shell will get a pretty hefty makeover with fiberglass.<br /> ***Side note***<br /> For all those skeptics out there who don't believe I know what I am doing with fiberglass, I prefer to use fiberglass resin 'jelly'... yes they make a jelly for this... a lot easier to use, and makes a much smaller mess. It is a lot like bondo (if you're familiar with it), but better. As for the air ducts, considering I plan to make quite a few, making the vento a real air cooled performance machine, it is very simple. All ya have ta do is model how the air duct will go with any kind of rather firm paper, preferably stiff cardboard paper or construction paper, then tape it or glue it all together, and when you got it the way you want, fiberglass the outside of it making it rigid and durable, yet stylish... see? easy. Noone will ever know... except you guys... now anyways... lol <img src="http://media.hardwareanalysis.com/smilies/smile1.gif" width="14" height="14" border="0" alt=":-)" title=":-)"> I mean, you could always cut the ducts in half, and fiberglass ALL of it, but the only thing that will ever see the inside of the duct is the air that is about the exit it... and most people really only care how it performs and looks anyways... <img src="http://media.hardwareanalysis.com/smilies/smile1.gif" width="14" height="14" border="0" alt=":-)" title=":-)"><br /> <br /> -I am still trying to figure out how the heck I am going to keep the front CD-rom door from springing up like a frickin cat with a stick up it's... umm, like a grass hopper.
