Can you remember the sequence? Mine is short, long, short, short, long, long, long, short. I just replaced the LCD but I might have bugged up the processor while doing so. If its a processor error i'm getting i'll check it out. Here is my suprise fix.<br /> My first line of thought was that I had cased the fault myself when soldering the power connecter. To rule this out I would have to remove the mother board. I was not looking forward to that.<br /> As I started to remove the heat sink assembly I noticed a board sanwiched between the heatsink and the mother board and it turns out that this was the processor card. Ths card plugs in to the mother board and it was loose because the heatsink had been assembled incorrectly. I plugged the card back in to the mother board and reassembled the heatsink and switched on. After re-assembling it would not boot up and the only thing that does happens is the orange power L.E.D. at the front flashes and appears to be a series of long and short pulses as if it is a binary code producing an error code.<br /> I have read some information from toshiba Technical Service &amp; Support which states, and I quote : <br /> <br /> &quot;Toshiba Europe has identified that some notebooks manuafactured in January and February 2000 may have a fault that could prevent the notebook from starting up.
