Hi Heidi. You can find all the Hercules Drivers here.

http://drivers.soft32.com/download/driver-HERCULES_3D_Prophet_...447-3.html

Look and see if the drivers are listed in add/remove programs. you can uninstall it there. i'm not familiar with that card. Is it a PCI or AGP slot card. Or is it onboard? That's odd that there is no display adapter showing in device manager. Go to start/run and type in Msinfo32.exe
Hit OK. When the system info window opens go to components/display and see if it's listed there. Also in the same window go through the hardware resources listings and see if there is some kind of conflict going on with the monitor.

To Totally Killer and Payton. I have tried to install updated driver for the hercules card but strangely on the device manager the display adaptors are not shown at all. I did what was suggested and it was not hidden! When the pc boots up on the first bit of info that comes up, the hercules graphic card is there! The monitor does not come up in device manager either. I have also checked whether or not it was under some other device but it is not. I did try previously to solve the original problem of blurred text etc a few months back when I bought the flat screen and I was fiddling around with various things so I could have done something then which was incorrect! I still have the same problem of when scrolling down on web pages the pages jump!
Please help! Thanks.

Hi Heidi. Right click on a blank spot on your desktop and hit properties. When display properties window opens hit the advanced tab then click on the settings button. Go to the monitor tab and make sure the box that says "hide modes that this monitor can't display" is checked. Use the drop down menu directly above it that says Screen refresh rate, and set it to the largest MHz setting that shows.

Thanks for your advice. I am still stuck! I have had a problem since I have bought this Dell Flat panel E173FP. Nothing wrong with it because I have connected it to my Dell Dimension and all is well. I am using this flat panel on my old pc. I have tried numerous times to update the drivers etc. At this point on device manager I cannot find "display adaptor" neither "monitor" it is just not listed. I tired to re-install the Hercules driver but I get a message that I must un-install the previou driver but I cannot find it! I have a Hercules 3D Prophet Kyro.
Your help would be very much appreciated.

when you dont have your video card drivers installed, then when you browse the internet, the page will jump up and down like your talking about. Find out what sort of video card you have, start->rightclick my computer->manage->device manager->display adapters and that should tell you what video card you have. From there go to http://www.ati.com or http://www.nvidia.com to get the respective driver for your card.
