It's not like everyone is just going to stop buying software as 1 entity. As long as they get a profit at all, it will continue. If you consider the numbers of people that need to stay competitive in order to keep their business going, that alone is enough to keep the software vendors in business. Laws need to be made to protect the individual's rights. Just because we are paying for a product, that does not give them the right to control what we do with it. The gun makers don't tell us when we can shoot. The car makers don't tell us where we can drive. The software companies shouldn't be able to tell us when, where, and with what device we use their software in... Money talks and if you give them your money you agree to their laws. If you want to let them know how you feel, make them feel it in their pockets. Believe me once they see profits plumet they will see that companies have no power over the consumer. The consumer chooses what they want when they want it. I sternly believe that if what Sanders said was true, they are not only violating our rights but also, building a sure fire way to make sure you only buy certain products and thus, cementing any monopoly in place. Both of which should be obviously illegal.
