"However this model is still being sold the world over hence this does not negate the validity of our findings."

This is another incorrect statement. Surplus Ref 8/8b that are being sold are version 8.02, not what you have received. I do not know how you got hold of the old version of Ref 8. If you have bought the earlier version used or from a dealer, then you need to contact the distributor or us to get it fixed. Contact support@nuforce.com for RMA# if you can't get service from your distributor.

Alright, how about you supply us with two updated and/or current models and we'll rerun the listening sessions and measurements? As afterall we're only providing a service to our readers, based on the products and information available to us. It is good to see that NuForce steps forward to acknowledge that the Reference 8 has indeed got serieus RFI problems. However this model is still being sold the world over hence this does not negate the validity of our findings. Most of these issues however are serious design flaws rather than problems one can easily fix without a redesign to be honest, so I'd welcome a pair of these updated models to see how they fare.

Best regards,

Base on the inside look of this Ref 8, it was produced before May 2005 and none of the reviews were base on this version. For the history of Nuforce Ref 8/8b (which has been discontinued but still supported), read Jim Saxon's review on Soundstage (http://www.soundstageav.com/onhifi/20050715.htm).
Subsequently all the Ref 8/8b were updated to version 8.02.
The early Ref 8 had high RFI and the problem was addressed to meet FCC/CE requirement.
