Donald

I think you have missed the point.

I am not outraged that measurements be involved........What I am saying is to listen to the different qualities of sounds that emanate from using different cables, no matter what measurements are found. Frankly, the point you are missing is that the sound you hear coming from your equipment is entirely based on subjectivity, period. If you cannot tell the difference when using different cables, then there must be something inherently poor about the hardware you are using in the first place. Use quality equipment, and anyone could tell the remarkable difference in quality of sound when using different cables.
Tom's remarks are just plain silly. Nothing outrages a subjectivist more than suggesting that measurements should be involved; because he knows he will be shown to be wrong.

Dear Sander Sassen

Having a masters degree in electronics engineering does not qualify you to differentiate whether changing cables 'improves' or diminishes sound quality. That is something that must be done subjectively. From you conclusions, I suspect that you are unable to appreciate obvious changes that occur using quality cables, either because there is something wrong with you physically, or that your electronics engineering course has hampered your ability to listen. Close your books and open your mind and ears.
