I haven't used Windows XP a whole lot, so the exact wording may be different. Go into the Control Panel, select the Power applet. Somewhere in there should be a section for Advanced Power Management. There is probably a box for enabling Advanced Power Management that does not have a check in it. Put a check in that box, hit apply and OK. You should now be able to do a full shutdown.
Hello All
I have a PIII-3754LMR motherboard and now I use WinXP, I can not shut down my computer using software ( Start -- Shutdown - Shutdown)
Instead , it displays : IT'S NOW SAFE TO TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER ... , and I have to manually turn the power off.

Anybody know how to configure so I can shut down my computer using the mouse only ?
Welcome any help. Thank you

David
