Did you try running AVG without first disabling F-Secure? If so, it may have mucked things up badly.

Can you run it in Safe Mode? Try booting there, then start with an AdAware scan and see where that goes.
My computer has been slower than normal lately, and suddenly yesterday a message popped up that I had no virus protection, even though I had installed F-Secure and it had been working without problems for the last few years. So I downloaded AVG antivirus and AD aware the next day and tried checking my computer for viruses etc. I left my computer for a while and when I came back it suddenly restarted. Now when I open my computer after a few seconds a "No signal" message appears and it restarts by itself.

Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?

I use Windows XP Home Edition.

EDIT: Problem fixed!
