Is that really necessary to put sinks in all chips, beside GPU, CPU, NB, and DIMMS chips? I can see you put smaller sinks in smaller chips. And even for tiny chips, I can't really tell, but what looks like some kind of silvery metal plate on top. Is that necessary?
Willie, ive yet to see the stuff used as cable ties, as we use wax string on the F-16.

anyways here is an example of what my board looks like, sans the wires, the watercooling, and the mosfet heatsinks, notice all the chips that are covered in heatsinks

http://img126.imageshack.us/my.php?image=imagem070du3.jpg

here is the board without that stuff, pay attention to the chips covered on above board
http://us.dfi.com.tw/Upload/Product_Picture/LP%20NFII%20ULTRA%20B%20b.jpg

If you're worried about the acetic acid that is found while normal silicone sealants are curing (and I generally would be for some electronics applications) you might try using aquarium silicone sealant.

I've never had any trouble removing consumer-grade hot-melt glue. For safer application and easier removal, it also helps to use the warm-melt glue instead of the hot-melt. Remember that at temps we're used to, hot or warm-melt glue will re-flow to some degree in certain applications.

edit to add-by the way, there are silicone sealants with different viscosities. If you need something that will completely fill-in porous/holey areas, then use a low-viscosity sealant. The downside is that it can be a bit more messy. These should all be available at a hardware or hobby store or via the internet.

Silicon sealant can be found in most any hardware store in squeeze tubes. Most labels don't list electronics as a use, but as a retired Air Force Master Sgt. I can tell you, we used a lot of it to seal and as cable ties.
You do what you have to do.
Gunner, AS5 Thermal Epoxy, is a thermal adhesive, it still can cause shorts, Also to make the Epoxy less Permanent you mix in some AS5 Compound, Thats what i did with the ram on the laptop vid card. Also Hot Glue is not recommended because you cant remove it once applied. I want something that will stay in a rubbery state.

Manufacturers use hot glue, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_glue , for electronic circuit boards. I saw it in PSU and mobos.

edit, stupid comma ruin the link.
How would you manage to get AS5 everywhere?

What are you putting heatsinks on? if its the likes of mosfets on the board you should be using a thermal adhesive, not AS5

Anyone know where i can get Silicon Sealant for Electronics, as im trying to cover up some Electrical Leads so i dont dope them in AS5 Epoxy accidently while trying to attach heatsinks to chips on my mobo.
