Practicality is a measure of functionality so, that fragment doesn't make sense to me.

[rant]I definitely agree that Apple places marketing as it's highest priority because that's all they really have. In second place is, without a doubt, form. Jobs doesn't care if it is the slowest computer in the world so long as it looks good (he'll advertise around the performance issue). Functionality isn't even a word in Apple's dictionary (e.g. the mice prior to the "Mighty Mouse") Proof of this is the people that originally made these things: Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Who do you always hear about? Jobs, the one pushing the "prettiness." Who do you never hear about? Wozniak, the brains that made the damn thing work. If Jobs was a good man and pointed at his friend, Wozniak, when Mac was met with success, perhaps their computers wouldn't still be rubbish today. Ballmer is everything Jobs isn't. He sold the product and didn't lay claim to it. He always pointed to the brains of the outfit, Gates. As a result, Windows my not have all this useless crap that you "think" you might need (according to Apple). No, no, instead, it is the most functional platform in the world with global support. Apple vs Microsoft is a classic example of form vs function. Proof is in where the profits go.

Now you know what I hate Jobs, the pompous a**hole, and by association, Apple. Wozniak is a genius but Jobs always stands in the way of his limelight.[/rant]

Edited to add the rant tags for those who can't be bothered with my opinion.

Sad, but true. Nice addition though, I can't believe I didn't think of that part.

I noticed another thing. The oldest iMac G5 they dissembled, only required loosening couple of screws in the back and the entire back panel comes loose, revealing all the components inside. Whereas, later iMac's, it's required to remove the LCD from front (hard work), then able to see the hardware. In my opinion, the oldest approach is much better engineering and makes repair much easier.

Who's bright idea was it, that you need to remove the LCD panel in order to change a simple HDD? LOL
Macs are contempory computers. Designed for the materialistic generation who
have no brains haha! Those Macs are just for folks who want to use computers for the
basic needs. Business, multi media, surfing. But yea, it's a fancy laptop

That was hilarious actually: "Warranty Void If Removed". Yeah, oooookkkkayyyy! Who the HELL is going to go through all that trouble to open up their iMAC so that way they can void their warranty!? I guess it's just one of those things that they had to put in there.
