ULTIMA isnt Copyrighted so can be freely used, just cus its a trademark doesnt make it illegal to use it, just depends on where n how u use it.

both My DJ name and Production Artist names are Copyrighted and trademarked. i went through alot of trouble initially, but it protects u against alot of problems that may occur on line.

Whether u come up with an entirelly new name or use exsisting, register it to be on safe side

plus i cant say i like the design of that website n e way lol

A lot of gamers are into individuality, and you're advertising X and VS base systems custom built to the buyers specification out of a set of predefined options.
You're also looking at systems geared towards "M" media, and other series as well.
Over even short periods of time the actual components within a system can change radically (We used to call Gateway the "Motherboard of the Month Club" where I used to work).
So given the individual, custom, variable configurations you're offering why not serialize the name on each individual PC manufactured?

So the name template would be something like X-YYMMDD-ZZZ
Where:
X = Market/Series such as the suggested e"X"treme, "G"amer, "V"alue, "M"edia, etc.
YYMMDD = Date of Birth
ZZZ = # off assembly line that day

Now having done that, Go ahead and publish the configuration database, so your users compare systems, track exact components, get warantee assistance based upon installed component serial #, post to the support forums based upon exact configurations, or even publish thier own upgrades and modifications.

The name gives each "Signature" system an individual name/moniker, and users can see upgrades that they may have forgone that are working great in other systems of the same series...say a X0711xx. This may lead to increased after sale upgrade purchaces and or low cost support of a particular series of computers. It would also be indicative of age, as in "Wow, I have a great X0711 but the new X1003s are so much newer and faster!".

It would of course be to the discretion of each owner as to whether or not to publish thier configurations. Even if they don't choose to publish, you'll have a direct corralation between a system and its configuration without having to enter a SN as well.

Just a though that popped into my head.
with the ranges
I have elite for the flagship computers
The first model is the X1, next will be X2, but the thing is, I made a top range system but its not what I would call top of the top system so it begs to differ, what you call the better systems as it cant be a minus figure.
proberly E1??

VS for budget (value systems)
they will be numbered but unless I start at either the top or bottom of the range its going to be hard to level out the system in relation to the numbers.

I think that names are not really descriptive. numbers are normally used in sequance 1-100 or 100-1 one set being the top of the range down to the bottom.

Think NVIDIA/AMD graphic cards. The numbers are much easier to sort out than all the damn GT, GTS, GTX, Pro, GS, XT, XTX, blah, blah, BLAH. Think Intel with E6850, E6800, E6600, etc. Even though numbers aren't as flashy, they are far more helpful in making a determination rather than cryptic suffixes.

N00BINATOR!

Sounds like a sex toy! LMAO

Well Since one of the major hits on the server is for gaming computers, custom computers, photo/ video editing I have made a start on teh new computer systems website...

Still need those names though..

Going for Psy4 computer systems as the business name.

Psy4 Elite as the flag ship systems - generally over kill systems.

Need names for video eiditing, Photo editing, Media systems,

Do you think that the systems should have names or numbers within there sections?

Normally I would call them ULTIMA X1 or Ultima GT3 something like that.. suggestions plz.

For a gaming system:

These would be crossfire or SLI quads:

GTW-FRAGGER-xxxxx
GTW-FRAPMAX-xxxxx or GTW-FPSMAX-xxxxx

Both of these are geared towards Speed.

The FRAGGER would be a wired KB/Mouse combo that provided for the fastest and most responsive twitch components.

The FRAPMAX would be a monster GPU system geared towards getting the best FPS from Crysis on a Vista DX10 system running Crysis at reasonable (60FPS) rates at the highest settings. BTW, I don't know if this exist.
I know it had been around, My concern was that it can effect the sales, reviews and boost their sales.

there are some good names, and some bad ones. I used ultima as when I searched the net I didnt find anything that listed ultima as a computer company.

I really dont get how a US company and a UK company could have the same trademark. its a bit stupid really, you would think that they are global. maybe not then.

I picked ultima because it got away from everyone who was calling their computers extreme. and I didnt want to to say ultimate.

keep the names coming, but try to keep away from things like food and what could be negative
