        <description>Sorted it out myself. Must remove the keyboard up and out first, to remove the palmrest (cover).         <description>i need to change the dead hard disk from my sony vaio, i removed all the assembly screws including those behind the battery but cannot clear the cover from the base. It is fastened securely somehow from behind the function button F5. any tips of what this may be and how to remove the cover without breaking clips or brackets is much appreciated.</description>
