Ok i guess i was on about GPU failure. But yea I guess 85c's about right for artifacts.
My bad for not clarifying.

Ditto. For my X1800XT, 85c is the arti limit
Well max temp recommendations for GPU's are all good and that, but regardless of the fact that my GPU temp threshold is 115C I start seeing artifacts when I start approaching 90C. Oh ya, by the way I'm using a 98CFM fan on my CPU cooler in a pull config. I actually wrote Thermalright cust support once asking if I could get a second set of clips as I wanted to experiment with a 2 fan pull push config. They said they didn't recommend it

The GPU temp was another subject I added on cos we're on about temps here.
GPU temps have been included in HWA forums, so i thought i'd mention these too.
I know we're on about CPU Prime temps btw!

8o8 said:
id figured that since it said ultra quiet on the box lol. but that cooler is better than that gigabyte one in had. hey dublin wat are you load temps on your cpu with that cooler you have?

CoreTemp reads about 64c max load (die temp, Everest confirms), but the CPU temp in Everest is about 49C.

Bare in mind I dont have a powerful fan on it, and its in a 'pull' configuration.

Tam - we're talking CPU temp!!!! Prime doesnt stress the GPU..................

Also, the temp shouldnt keep on rising, it should remain pretty much the same at 1 hour as it is at 15
Just read this thread. Someone was sayin his temps were "too high" after 15 hours of
Prime! Wot you on about eh? 15 hours of stress torture and you're sayin 60c too high.
60c for 15hrs of cpu stress torture is s**t hot. It's a stress test. No ones OC'd computer
is gonna run stressed for a short length of over normal activities (gaming, video apps) let
alone 15hours. His Idle temps are like in 30's.Whehn he games, he'll be touchin 40-50's,
and that's still good for an aircooled system. jeez

GPU's is another one....

You get folks on here who say 60c for a GPU at gaming is TOO HIGH. There's thresholds
for GPU's they're at 115c. If you get the threshold then you're GPU's fooked lol!
Some folks on here not got a scooby

After an 11 hour burn in at 100% with Stress Prime Orthos, I was at 43C for the CPU, and 56C for the CPU cores. I really have issues with the Zalmans because of cat hair clogging the fins, and a lot of dust/dirt from living on a really busy street. Same issue with the Thermalright but it's a bit more user friendly cleaning wise. And yes I use filters on the case intakes.
Were you sure to put the metalpart that looks like an "S" correct? It changes position depending on were you're pointing the Zalman.
