In thermodynamics work, I developed an appreciation for Kelvin. It makes complex calcs so much easier, and it keeps the temp diff between frozen and boiling water at 100 degrees (with all the material and environmental caveats of course).

And, I simply like the elegance of working from "absolute zero" on up.

Having been raised with Fahrenheit, I definitely have to stop and think about measurements in Celsius... -40, 0, and 100 are fine, but everything else takes a minute

Ended up putting this on my E2140 yesterday since I finally got my motherboard

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835200035

All I can say is wow

Using the stock heatsink, my E2140 (still at stock) idled at 90 Farenheit, at load it was 100 F.

Then I switched and lo and behold, my E2140 at idle is 62 Farenheit!! 72 F at load.

These temps were comfirmed by the bios, everest, and coretemp. Also went and touched the heatsink to find it very cool to the touch. Granted its still winter here and I keep my house at or around 62 degrees. But all in all I was very impressed for the amount paid.

(keep in mind this is using the supplied paste on the heatsink)

Can't wait to try overclocking!!!
