Lol you're persistant!! Ok, download Everest, and run that, and check the SENSOR within
the program. This'll give you all your temps and volts for your stock. Take note of all of
these. When you OC next time (just a wee bit) reboot, go back into BIOS and take note
of the temps and volts in there. When you reboot back to OS, run everest andn take note
of the new temps and volts in the SENSOR.

You're problem is with the volts all over. Your guessing your volts (which's what most
OC'ers would do - but they will have more experience and knowledge) ***When you do
get to a 3.0GHz, reboot back to BIOS for volts comparison. Say your CPU is at 1.38v in
the monitor section of BIOS, then raise the volts on cpu up to 1.42v. Do you see what
I'm getting at?

*** Gradual OC to 3GHz remember

I'm off to bed. IT'S 01:37 here in Scotland!

I know it is a Q6600 GO but im not sure why it wont let me increase the front side bus
on the cpu

If XP booted, so shud Vista. Reduce the OC a wee bit to see what happens with vista.
Leave your RAM on AUTO for the time being.

it booted up after that
but vista won't

I set the fsb to 333
I set the ram to 1333
frequency 333
and voltage to 1.78

But vista just stays at the start
screen where the bar just moves along

Get the OC stable at 3GHz,once you get it stable, you'll get to grips with the
fundamentals of your OC. All the boards that I've OC'd with a Q6600 i can leave
everything on AUTO at 3.0GHz. After that, it's then that I gotta start upping the volts
on CPU/RAM, Nrth Bridge, Sth Bridge, etc.
You shouldn't have to reset cmos. Leave it off for a few mins, then turn back on.
MoBo's have crash free bios. Start from stock on cpu, and get ration with ram to 1:1
Gradually tweak it up. you shouldn't need to mess about with voltages until after 3.0GHz
