I usually reboot my computer daily because I turn it off at night and when I'm not home unless I'm downloading something. We had a survey like this on the home page not too long ago.

My router downloads torrents to an internal SD card while my computer is off.

Number of reboots? Way too many too count, on way too many machines.

I reboot almost every day. I don't like leaving it on, only on standby mode. The only time I leave it on wit the monitor turned off is when I'm downloading a big ass torrent. If only I could do it while on stand by mode.

Several tens of thousands of times, conservatively. (reboot count of all computers used or controlled, regardless of OS, personal or business)

edit to add--
Some people seem to be interpreting this question as how often they reboot their main personal computer. Answering that question, I reboot my basic everyday-use WindowsXP Pro computer about once every 20 to 30 days, usually due to an update or installing a new program.

A more or less constant-on Vista computer I'm using needs rebooting every week or so, usually due to a system or program lock-up or degraded performance issue.

A WindowsXP Home system gets booted-up about once every 2-4 weeks or so to verify something for a family member or friend. Same thing for an Ubuntu system.

It already tampered with all the file associations and, instead of trying to sort the mess, it's easier just to erase it. It has other problems as well that formatting may resolve.

I reboot whenever a full screen application doesn't let me reach the desktop.

As far as re/installs of Windows goes, too many times to count. My server needs it ASAP to upgrade the OS. Another computer of mine could use it to rid it of Apple Quicktime filth. I need to also erase/install a Win 98 computer that was loaned to a client for a few weeks.

Erm... Ijust wanted to know how many times all of you have rebooted. It can include all your computers that belong to you and you can have any reason for rebooting. (Upgrades are not classed as rebooting)

Iv'e had 4 PC's and rebooted...

6 times... I think.
