You can also look at dslreports.com (aka broadbandreports.com) a site dedicated to broadband issues....and despite the name, is not limited to covering just DSL.

In particular, the fora are particularly helpful.

General list of fora:
http://www.dslreports.com/forums/all

Link to fora that cover specific ISPs by company name:
http://www.dslreports.com/forums/25
A funny thing that... when you call your ISP with regards to an internet problem,
and yet it always seems to be running fine from their side. But it's always your
cables, or modem or even your computer! Well if i ever have to call BT, it's always
some muppet on the other end. Absolutely fantastic!! NOT!

The problem can also be:

* temporary overloading of the forum hosting servers,

* intermittent problem with the ISP (and there are a LOT of those going around these days),

* intermittent problem or overload at an intermediate node(s) on the internet infra-structure

* your broadband modem or modem firmware may be downlevel and creating problems with updated ISP software (I had that problem)
It could be a virus, it could be that you may need to clear your IE cache, it could indeed be a line problem, or service problem.

Does it happen on all sites, or just some? What speed is your connection meant to be?

Try an online speed test to see what sortof throughput you're getting
Hi,
Thank you for giving me such satisfactory answers which has improved my machine working ability.A small help I again needed from you all. When I am trying to open forums they are not getting opened at all or they are taking long time to get opened.I thought it was a problem with my service provider I complaint the net provider about the net speed I am getting,in return he told me that the service from his end is uninterrupted and no such cable problem.
Is this a cable problem shall i ask him to provide me with optical connections?
