I dont know any bloody gigabit..lol

Well with the little bit ive used it it does seem to have much of a scaling problem.I still have to get a high def converter from the cable company though. And i havent hooked my PC up to it yet.But i will this weekend

Lol! I was searching for your Tv model online and I found 2 post you made Mothow, or should I say gigabit?

http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?p=5600303#post5600303

From the looks of it you made a good choice on that Tv since it has the built-in NTSC tuner which everyone will need for next year when they change the broadcast signals.

Now I have to ask... Does your 32-inch Tv has scaling problems? Cause I've read that many tv's of that size have odd scaling. Maybe not odd but not as nice as an lcd monitor
And like I said, that's pure marketing BS. "Accepting" a 1080 signal means absolutely nothing to me if it can't even display it. In any case, on a 32" LCD, considering you don't sit as close to it as you would a monitor, 720p should be more than enough.

Even Pioneer's $3000 Plasmas (which until recently where all 720p displays) have said they supported 1080p for years. That just means they can accept a 1080p signal.

To be honest, I wouldn't have bought that TV, just based on the fact that it "supports" 1080, but the vertical res isn't even enough to fully use it. That kind of marketing BS doesn't go over well with me. Just because it can "accept" a 1080i input means squat to me if it can't display it. I could hook our DVR (which "supports" 1080p) to a 13" b&w CRT TV and say basically the same thing.

I've heard a lot of people say 1080i is superior to 720p ... unless you're watching sports. When I watch movies on 1080i, even slow movies with minimal action, I see faint flickering that bugs my eyes, so I always set the DVR to 720p. I don't sit too incredibly far from the TV (maybe 6 feet), but with mild myopia I can't tell the difference between the resolution of 1080 and 720 anyway. If we got 1080p on any of our channels I'd use that because ... well f**k, why not?

Also: some TV's have DVI(-D) inputs ... ours does, but my computer is so far away from it I haven't hooked them together yet. I have a DVI to HDMI adapter around here somewhere, but the TV only has one HDMI port which is in use by the DVR.

All (maybe I should say most) 720p HDTVs will accept a 1080i and/or a 1080p resolution but that does not mean your looking at a 1080p picture. For example if your watching HD Theater (which is broadcasted in 1080i) your TV will basically scale it down to a resolution it supports such as 720p. 1080i is not as good as 1080p though, 1080i basically fills in every other line, where as in 1080p, every pixel is actually accounted for.

More about the "i" in 480i/1080i:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interlace

Yes, it's probably a decent TV for the price, however I couldn't see the TV, because the link did not work for me. As long as it has the inputs you need, it should be fine. It's good to have a nice amount of Component and HDMI inputs. Not sure how many your TV has, but they are quite important. Anything you buy that is HD, such as a HD Cable/Dish box, HD-DVD/BD/Upscaling DVD player, or a 360/PS3, will use either HDMI or component inputs to send a HD signal to your TV. For your PC you can use either VGA if it has one, or a DVI to HDMI adapter.
