        <description>Ccleaner is the best i'd say for removing junk files, i love the registry thingy on it too... Auslogics if u dont want to pay for the Diskeeper which i personally think is the best defragging tool, but Auslogics works really great too..&lt;br /&gt;

        <description>A lot can be done withinn windows, with out any other software.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Start, Run, type msconfig. Disable any start up programs you don't need&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Defrag regularly, chkdsk regularly&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Also, a lot of windows services are unneeded, depending on what you;re using your PC for.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The only other additional software I use are:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Adaware&lt;br /&gt;
Spybot&lt;br /&gt;
Avast&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
And I also disable most of the visual effects within XP via control panel, performance and maintenance </description>

I'm looking for good maintenance programs for windows xp. I use the following programs maybe you guys can recommend some good programs to improve my computers performance.&lt;br /&gt;

Avast Antivirus&lt;br /&gt;
CCleaner&lt;br /&gt;
Spybot Search and Destroy&lt;br /&gt;
Tunexp&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
