I thought ALL CAPS posts were auto-deleted?

If the "restore" doesn't work (or wasn't enabled on your system), you can try a "repair" action from the recovery console.

I strongly recommend a full backup of the drive before attempting ANY recovery actions. I've found Windows is generally pretty damn stupid when it comes to recovery actions, often just deleting things it doesn't understand in order to "fix" the operating system. The system may work afterwards, but sometimes applications, individual application settings and logs, and personal data are deleted in the process.

Also, I would hope you keep regular backups and could simply load an X day-old version if needed. If you don't keep backups, then when you have this problem fixed, I recommend you start doing so. An excellent freeware backup program is DriveImageXML. (available at majorgeeks.com and other download sites) It supports XP and Vista, is fast, reliable, and very easy to use.

Something got corrupted and my guess would be a device driver. You will have to do a system restore, repair the Windows installation, or reinstall Windows. I'd try system restore first...

Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore

Restore my computer to an earlier time

Check the most recent date where everything did work fine and see how it goes.

It was working earlier.
then for some reason it restarted.

It'll load the windows loading thing, then flash a blue screen and reboot.
(Windows XP by the way.)
But when I run windows in safe mode, it's fine..

I need this fixed bad
i've tried the net nothing works
