But it will play if I connect to full screen via a link but not from the actual video itself. The videos play for 2 seconds and shut off. I don't know what the f is going on but I'm getting frustrated. I need a damn browser that works. The one I've been using for 4 years is dead. Freezes on jsp pages and isn't supported any more. They just abandoned it.

I know what you mean. I'm really frustrated why Mozilla even released it when those issues would most definitely have surfaced in in-field and in-house testing...

I was having issues with the quickTime plug in and flash player on FF3 It seems to have cleared up when I uninstaled IE7 (who woulda thought it!?) and NetFramework 2.0 (another shocker eh?). Not sure which one it was. Now I'm wondering if it was the same issue with running the Ubuntu8 live CD?

Well, I finally got around to downloading it and I must say, I like it and dislike it. I like the interface change although I wish they could have put a small line or bar to separate the address bar from the bookmarks bar, less memory use, the increased speed, and the fact that it can actually pass the Acid3 Test. However, I am also having some problems with audio on videos while using Mozilla Firefox 3. I've tried changing security settings and disabling NoScript and I even re-installed Firefox 3... nothing worked.

Has anyone found a fix yet?

I've been waiting for that, very useful feature for use with Stylish.

Well, I'm not really a firefox power user, so I installed it yesterday. My myspace is rendering weirdly, too - seems to be 1.5x as wide as it should be. Small price to pay, though, for them fixing the alt-text "bug" that prevented me from getting the extra jokes from Dinosaur Comics (http://www.qwantz.com/archive/list.html). Used to be, FF users had to select the properties of the jpg to view each alt-text joke, but now it displays in all its glory. Consider me sold.

angryhippy said:
...All my flash permissions are set right as far as I can tell. And I'm using the latest JRE6.4. I've been trying to fix this music thing for almost a month now. Some people say it works in their firefox, and some say it doesn't....

I was going to just post a quick reminder that this might be a good time to try to re-initialize Flash from the very lowest level possible. Ya know....remove all traces of it before upgrading to Firefox3. Especially since it's now a very involved process to remove and re-install a new version of Flash with any degree of certainty.

See
Adobe Flash upgrade procedure and extra manual actions required of the user:
