If I am right, you could try to set up a home network on the other machine, and hook up to the DSL capable machine through a modem to modem hook up and then go on line (internet) through the faster machine. PS: I am still running a 386 with DOS and Win 3.1; a 486 (with no math coprocessor) with Win 95; an old monochrome IBM Thinkpad with Win 95 , a Zip 100, a 24x CD-ROM both with pass through para ports and a SyQuest EZFlyer 250 PCMCIA SCSI and a Panasonic 2x CD-ROM and a 14X modem, both PCMCIA (meaning I switch out depending on what I'm doing at the time). Everything still works fine though I seldom go on line with them but can still fax because there no current antiviruses for them any more, but I still have a copy of an old free firewall that seems to work great. Good luck with your old stuff. Just because it is old it doesn't mean it isn't still good. Oh, I'm 68yoa and everything still works and my wife says she's going to keep me another 46 years.
