On a second note.... a cheap plastic fish tank without the lid and turned upside down might do the job too if you can find one the right size!

What about a perspex/lexan sides and top? if its not already done stain and varnish the wood make it look good? im assuming vanish isnt electricaly conductive ive never tried it.

EDIT: Yourl probably need to go to your equivilant of our BnQ to pick up some lexan should be fairly cheap maybe $20 1m x 0.5m sheet. Some little blocks in the corners to bolt the sides together and clear silicone sealent (caulk?) in the joints to smooth edges off?

and then i think finaly a nice colourd set of CCFLs but single colour only mind multi-colour looks tacky... maybe purple/blue or white?

http://www.displaycaseart.com/images/football-display-cases-acrylic114.jpg
was the look im thinking off.

I personally, just to keep the wood theme, would get another piece of the same wood (I hope it's finished and sealed) and mount it with a hinge and some sort of latch. I'd use some sort of rubber lining to help keep moisture out, but if it's not sealed wood, then you may be SOL there. :S

I'd love to see pics of this thing, though. I love crazy looking computers.

I have nothing but a piece of wood. I became creative and decided to mount every computer part on it. Ok, got it done. Now i need a good cover! I want something that is plastic and see thru, if not something that just fits! I need to be able to house everything a typical computer would. It's dimensions are around 2'x2' Is there anything I can do to just get a cover to keep most moisture out? (will post a pic soon, but i warn you, not pretty looking, but functional)
