There have been a series of laptops where the motherboard has a bug, and the Wireless card will disappear. This has happened a lot in HPs dv series of laptops (dv2000, dv6000, dv9000) but has now been fixed. Don't know if you may be a victim of this same problem. <br /> <br /> You can look underneath the laptop and unscrew the bay door for the wireless card. Make sure it's in their properly and shows no signs of damage.
