I'm still using Mini-DV at the moment and quality is OK on my Canon Canon ZR950. The other camera I have is the Sony Handycam DCR-TRV460, Digital8, but is still an amazing camera
Okay I had to get rid of my Sony TRV 18E Mini DV camcorder because Sony the cowboys dropped all support for Vista. I had to use it on XP, there is a bad driver for vista and it sucks...also I wanted to get a new one to transfer files to my PC and DVD easier.

Now I am more of a camera guy then a camcorder guy hence I have my Canon 40D w/ prime lenses....so I only needed a decent camcorder nothing that I usually go for and pay really good money for a HIGH END model.

So I got the new JVC Everio series...it takes an SDHC compact flash card (4GB gets me 100min at highest movie quality) and I have to say its a little BEAUTY....so light and user friendly with an astonishing zoom and one touch burn and one touch upload button and the software you get included is really good.

All in all a super camcorder for the price....Bargain I have to say.
