        <description>Agreed, install XP first (or keep it as is) and then install Ubuntu.  XP will overwrite the boot sector (or something like that, I'm probably using the wrong term but you get the idea) so that the computer will only boot to XP, but if you install Ubuntu afterwards, it will install a bootloader that allows you to choose which OS you want to use. Vista will do the same as Ubuntu.</description>

        <description>There are several ways to install Ubuntu and XP.  Some of which do not require a separete partition, however, it would probably be best to have a separate boot partition for Ubuntu.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
My recomendation is that you would initially install XP or Vista then Ubuntu.</description>

        <description>You need to create a separate partition on your hard drive &amp;amp; install Ubuntu to that partition.  There's no need to reinstall XP.</description>

        <description>i have got ubuntu linux , ive tried it , and like it a lot , but i want to keep xp as well, how do i install both ?    is it linux 1st , then xp , or they other way around ? , id rather not re install xp , as i have games installed &lt;br /&gt;
