I am having the same issues with this mobo. no video, it just won't kick over on boot up. have tried multiple video cards, both agp and pci, with no luck. have tried different memory sticks in the various slots, also, with no luck. processor tested good in another computer that i have. power supply is at least 300w on all of my computers.

Yes, I've had the same problem too. Tried everything from swapping every part to taking everything off. Have Athlon XP 2000 with the K7S5A Pro, after trying it with two other boards that were K7S5A. Been trying to fix it for two weeks now, but I'm about to say screw it at this point. Any one with any suggestions of how to fix this, could you please email me so that I can regain some sanity? And my power supply is 400W, so there's plenty of juice flowing.

Hey.
I have the same board (K7S5A) and I had an issue with my pc not working right, monitor not coming on but everything seeming to be read.. The issue with mine was the memory cards.. For some reason, sometimes they aren't compatible or sometimes they will only work in a specific slot, ex: one card might work in slot 1 when another brand wouldn't work there)..
Hope you figure out what your issue is.. Mine now is sound.. It worked til recently... Now it won't.
I also had an issue before with monitor not coming on, disconnected everything from board and plugged board straight into wall then reconnected everything.. and it started. I have xp operating system, 1300 cpu, huge hard drive (120gig?) and sony dvd burner and 52x cdrom, and that about covers it.. Good luck with yours..
Can't advise but have exactly the same problem, system worked extremely well for a few days, then, nothing....... not even any video. CPU fan works, hdd light comes on and stays on without flickers, cd and cdr power up ok. Its a 300W power supply. Other posts refer to changing agp graphics to pci, tried that, same result - nothing. its got me beat so far, any suggestions?
Let's start with the most obvious....what kind of power supply (both brand and wattage rating) do you have?

Hi, I've built many systems for friends and relatives. I'm prettty familiar with installing boards and all it's components. I bought 2 of these MotherBoards over the weekend for 1 friend and the other for a relative after reading the reviews. We opted for this mobo beacause they both plan to upgrade to newer memory later on.
However, this mobo is given me the biggest headache ever to setup. For the past 3 days, I've gone bananas wondering what in the world is wrong. Here's what is happening:
After I plug everything to it, and press the power button nothings appears on the monitor. It's weird because I see the HD getting power, the keyboard light goes on, the floppy is ok. I do notice the power light on the CDROM and CD-BUNER does NOT light up. When I remove the grey ribbon cable from the mother board, and press power, both drives lightup??? Weird. Still nothing appears on the monitor. The CDROM drive is setup as the Master and the burner as the slave on one cable pluggin into the IDE2 on the board. IDE1 has the HD. I tried common things like make the CDROM drive the Slave to the hard disk on IDE1 and leaving the burner on IDE2 alone...nothing. Tried changing the graphics card with a different one(both PCI)...nothing. Changed the memory SIMMS from two 64MB to two 128MB(all are PC100)...nothing. The BIOS JUMPER is set correctly to pins 2 and 3(for Normal Operation)...nothing. Also, the FAN on the CPU does go on.
What in the world could I be doing wrong, or what could be wrong ?????
PLEASE HELP.
